- Develop and maintain 3D CAD models, assemblies, and detailed manufacturing drawings using PTC Creo.
-
Create and manage engineering documentation including BOMs, technical drawings, and design specifications.
-
Design mechanical components such as sheet metal parts, welded structures, plastic components, and standard mechanical assemblies.
-
Perform GD&T application, tolerance stack-up analysis, and ensure manufacturability of designs.
-
Support product development activities from concept, prototyping, design validation, and production release.
-
Implement engineering changes and manage CAD data within PLM systems.
-
Work closely with cross-functional teams including Electrical, Manufacturing, Procurement, Quality, and Program Management to deliver robust design solutions.
-
Participate in design reviews and incorporate feedback into product improvements.
-
Ensure compliance with applicable engineering standards such as ISO, ANSI, and ASME.
-
Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on product performance, cost optimization, and manufacturability.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
Essential skills:
- Strong proficiency in PTC Creo (Creo 8.0 or later preferred).
-
Experience with mechanical design involving sheet metal, weldments, plastic parts, and mechanical assemblies.
-
Good understanding of GD&T (ASME Y14.5), tolerance analysis, and manufacturing drawing creation.
-
Experience in product lifecycle management (PLM) systems such as Windchill or similar.
-
Knowledge of BOM management and engineering change control.
-
Familiarity with international engineering and drafting standards.
