Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Safety Officer / EHS Officer with 8–10 years of experience to manage and ensure site safety, EHS compliance, statutory compliance, and safety documentation for our networking and AV installation projects.
The candidate will be responsible for implementing safety procedures at project sites involving structured cabling, networking, cable installation, AV systems, electrical works, working at height, drilling, ladder/scaffolding work, and other installation activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with applicable EHS, occupational health and safety requirements at all project sites.
- Conduct regular site safety inspections and safety audits.
- Identify hazards and conduct Job Safety Analysis (JSA) / Risk Assessments.
- Prepare and implement Method Statements, Risk Assessments, SOPs and Safe Work Procedures.
- Ensure compliance with client-specific safety requirements before and during project execution.
- Monitor safety practices for structured cabling, networking, AV installation, electrical works and related activities.
- Ensure proper use of PPE by all employees, technicians and subcontractors.
- Conduct Toolbox Talks, Safety Induction and regular safety training.
- Ensure compliance for work at height, ladder usage, scaffolding, drilling, cutting, electrical work and material handling.
- Coordinate and obtain necessary Work Permits, including Work at Height, Hot Work, Electrical Work and other applicable permits.
- Maintain all required EHS records and documentation for project sites.
- Coordinate with client Safety Officers/EHS teams during inspections and audits.
- Investigate accidents, incidents and near-miss cases and prepare corrective/preventive action reports.
- Ensure timely closure of safety observations and non-compliances.
- Monitor housekeeping and ensure safe storage and handling of tools, cables and materials.
- Conduct emergency preparedness drills and maintain emergency response procedures.
- Maintain PPE registers, training records, inspection checklists, incident reports, safety audit reports and compliance records.
- Support project teams in meeting client and statutory safety requirements.
- Visit multiple project sites as required and provide regular safety compliance reports to management.
- Ensure subcontractors and vendors follow the company's and client's safety requirements.
Required Experience
- 8–10 years of relevant EHS/Safety experience, preferably in:
- Structured Cabling
- Networking / IT Infrastructure
- AV Installation
- Data Centre Projects
- ELV Projects
- MEP / Electrical Installation
- Commercial Building Projects
- Experience in handling multiple project sites and client safety requirements.
- Experience in preparing and maintaining EHS documentation.
- Experience in conducting site inspections, toolbox talks, risk assessments and safety audits.
Qualification
- Diploma / Degree in Safety, Industrial Safety, EHS, Fire & Safety or equivalent.
- NEBOSH / IOSH / ADIS / DIS / equivalent safety certification will be an added advantage.
- Knowledge of applicable Indian safety and labour regulations.
- Good knowledge of MS Office, particularly Word and Excel, for preparing safety reports and documentation.

Preferred Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate should be a hands-on Safety/EHS professional who can independently manage project-site safety requirements, communicate effectively with clients and project teams, and ensure that all safety documentation and compliance requirements are completed on time.
This role will be particularly suitable for a candidate who has experience in networking, structured cabling, AV/ELV installation or similar project-based installation environments.
