Planterie is a plant studio and café based in Delhi, working across plants, pots, terrariums, gifting, workshops and plantscaping. We make it easier for people to bring plants and nature into their everyday spaces.
About the role
We are looking for an Assistant Sales Manager to help run the retail experience at Planterie.
The role is primarily about helping customers find the right plants and products, making the store easy and enjoyable to shop, and building strong knowledge of plants and their care.
What you would work on
- Assist customers in choosing plants, pots, terrariums and other products based on their space, light and requirements.
- Learn about the plants we sell and confidently guide customers on plant care.
- Understand customer needs and recommend relevant products rather than simply selling what is available.
- Help improve the overall in-store customer experience.
- Ensure products are well displayed, labelled, priced and easy to discover.
- Keep track of customer enquiries, requests and feedback.
- Support billing, order coordination and basic day-to-day store operations.
- Work with the store and plant-care teams to ensure plants on display remain healthy and presentable.
- Help the team meet store sales goals and understand what customers are buying and asking for.
- Build relationships with repeat customers and help create a strong neighbourhood customer base.

- Enjoy working in a retail environment and being on the shop floor.
- Have some prior experience in retail, hospitality or customer-facing work — although strong entry-level candidates are also welcome.
What success looks like
Customers receive knowledgeable and helpful guidance, the store is well presented and easy to shop, customers return to Planterie, and retail sales grow as a result of a better in-store experience.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
