About the Role
Enrich Lives Foundation (ELF), in collaboration with the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), is seeking a dynamic and visionary School Principal to lead Mahul MPS School.
The Principal will be responsible for academic excellence, school administration, team leadership, and stakeholder management. The role requires a strong commitment to child-centred education, innovative teaching practices, community engagement, and the holistic development of students.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership and School Administration
- Lead the day-to-day functioning of the school in alignment with ELF and BMC guidelines.
- Develop and implement academic and administrative plans to support school growth and quality delivery.
- Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing team of teachers and support staff.
- Drive staff accountability through regular reviews, feedback, training, and performance management.
- Ensure smooth coordination across academic, operational, and administrative areas.
Academic Excellence
- Ensure delivery of a child-centric, activity-based, and play-way learning curriculum.
- Strengthen foundational learning and improve student outcomes across grades.
- Monitor the quality of teaching-learning practices through classroom observations and academic reviews.
- Introduce innovative teaching methodologies and practical learning approaches.
- Ensure that academic planning and delivery remain aligned with the Maharashtra State Board curriculum.
Stakeholder and Government Relationship Management
- Maintain strong working relationships with BMC officials, parents, and community stakeholders.
- Act as the primary point of contact for school-related issues and ensure timely, solution-oriented decision-making.
- Participate actively in joint meetings, reviews, inspections, and audits conducted by BMC.
- Follow BMC protocols and statutory requirements while safeguarding ELF’s ability to implement innovative educational practices.
- Proactively address challenges and create practical solutions that balance BMC expectations with ELF’s mission and values.
Monitoring and Evaluation
- Track student performance, attendance, learning progress, and teacher effectiveness through regular assessments.
- Use academic data to identify gaps and implement improvement plans.
- Ensure timely preparation and submission of reports to ELF and BMC.
- Maintain measurable indicators for academic progress, school operations, and student development.
Compliance and Governance
- Ensure adherence to educational policies, child-safety norms, and applicable statutory guidelines.
- Uphold transparency, accountability, discipline, and professionalism across school operations.
- Ensure that school systems, documentation, and records are maintained appropriately.
- Undertake any other responsibilities assigned by ELF in support of the school and programme objectives.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, preferably B.Ed. or M.Ed., or a related field.
- Minimum 8–10 years of experience in teaching, academic operations, or school leadership.
- At least 3–5 years of experience in a leadership role such as Principal, Vice Principal, Academic Coordinator, or School Head.
- Experience working with government schools, NGOs, low-income communities, or education-development programmes will be an advantage.
- Familiarity with the Maharashtra State Board curriculum is preferred.

Pay: ₹60,000.00 - ₹75,000.00 per month
