Job Summary
The Finance Manager will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations of the manufacturing plant, including budgeting, cost control, financial reporting, compliance, and cash flow management. The role requires strong expertise in manufacturing cost accounting, plant-level financial planning, and driving cost efficiency across production operations.
Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Planning & Analysis
- Prepare annual budgets, forecasts, and financial plans for the plant
- Conduct variance analysis (budget vs. actual) and report deviations with corrective action plans
- Support capital expenditure (CapEx) planning and ROI analysis for new machinery/projects
Cost Management
- Monitor and control production costs, material costs, and overheads
- Implement and maintain standard costing / product costing systems
- Identify cost-saving opportunities across procurement, production, and inventory
- Conduct periodic cost audits and inventory valuation
Financial Reporting & Compliance
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements (GST, TDS, Income Tax, Companies Act, etc.)
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors for audits and inspections
- Ensure adherence to accounting standards (Ind AS / IFRS as applicable)
Cash Flow & Working Capital Management
- Manage plant-level cash flow, including receivables, payables, and inventory financing
- Optimize working capital cycle and monitor credit terms with vendors/customers
- Liaise with banks for working capital limits, LC, and other financial instruments
Plant Operations Support
- Partner with production, procurement, and supply chain teams to align financial goals with operational plans
- Evaluate make-vs-buy decisions, vendor contracts, and pricing strategies
- Support pricing decisions based on cost structures and margins
Internal Controls & Systems
- Design and implement robust internal controls to safeguard plant assets
- Ensure ERP/accounting systems (SAP, Oracle, Tally, etc.) are accurately maintained
- Drive process improvements and automation in finance operations
Team Management
- Lead and mentor the plant finance & accounts team
- Coordinate with corporate finance/head office for consolidated reporting
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing/cost accounting principles
- Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP FICO / Oracle / Tally) and advanced Excel
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong understanding of taxation, statutory compliance, and audit processes
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work cross-functionally with production, procurement, and HR teams
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: CA / CMA / MBA (Finance) or equivalent
- Experience: 8–15 years of experience in finance roles, with at least 4–5 years in a manufacturing plant environment
- Prior experience in cost accounting, plant controllership, or factory finance preferred

Pay: ₹800,000.00 - ₹1,400,000.00 per year
