Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Architectural Draftsperson to join our growing design team. In this role, you will work closely with our architects, engineers, and project managers to translate conceptual designs, sketches, and specifications into highly accurate 2D and 3D architectural drawings and construction documents. The ideal candidate has a strong technical background in drafting software, a keen eye for detail, and a solid understanding of building codes and construction methods.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drafting & Modeling: Transform rough sketches, conceptual designs, and verbal instructions into precise 2D architectural plans, elevations, and sections using CAD software.
- Construction Documents: Prepare comprehensive construction documents and detailed blueprints that outline the architectural and structural aspects of the project.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with architects, structural engineers, MEP engineers, and interior designers to ensure all project elements are properly integrated.
- Revisions: Modify and update existing drawings based on feedback from project managers, clients, or local permitting authorities.
- Compliance: Ensure all drawings and plans strictly adhere to local building codes, zoning laws, and safety regulations.
- Site Visits: Occasionally visit project sites to take measurements, assess existing conditions, and ensure the drafted plans align with real-world constraints.
- Documentation: Maintain an organized digital library of all project files, drawing sets, and reference materials.
- Presentations: Assist in creating 3D models and high-quality renderings for client presentations and marketing materials (if applicable).
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Education: Associate’s degree, diploma, or certification in Architectural Drafting, Computer-Aided Design (CAD), Architecture, or a related field.
- Experience: 2+years of professional experience as an architectural draftsperson or similar role.
- Software Proficiency: Highly proficient in AutoCAD / Revit / Archi CAD / SketchUp.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of building materials, construction techniques, and structural engineering principles.
- Code Familiarity: Working knowledge of local building codes, zoning regulations, and ADA compliance.
- Soft Skills: Excellent attention to detail, strong spatial awareness, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with 3D rendering software e.g., Lumion, Enscape, V-Ray, or SketchUP.
- Experience working specifically on high-end residential / commercial projects.
- Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹37,888.56 per month
