Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior QA Automation Engineer with 5+ years of experience, including a strong track record in fintech/NBFC projects, to lead quality assurance efforts for our in house lending platform, compliance modules, and financial risk systems. This role goes beyond test execution – you will own the automation strategy, mentor junior QA engineers, and drive quality standards across a fast-paced fintech environment. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and business stakeholders to reduce defects, accelerate releases, and strengthen overall product reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and drive the end-to-end test automation strategy for web and mobile applications in the NBFC domain.
- Design, build, and maintain scalable automation frameworks using Selenium WebDriver, Appium, or similar tools, integrated with CI/CD pipelines such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
- Architect and enhance test automation frameworks to improve coverage, stability, and execution speed.
- Lead functional, regression, performance, and API testing efforts using tools like Postman and REST Assured for backend services handling financial transactions. Mentor and guide junior QA engineers on automation best practices, framework standards, and code quality.
- Define and drive test strategy, test planning, and release sign-off criteria for agile sprints.
- Analyze test results and defect trends, lead root cause analysis, and drive continuous improvement in product reliability.
- Partner with developers and product managers from design stage onward to build testability and quality checkpoints into the development lifecycle.
- Track and report quality metrics (defect density, automation coverage, release readiness) to engineering and business leadership.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or a related field. 4+ years of hands-on experience in QA automation testing, including at least 1–2 years working on fintech/NBFC projects.
- Strong proficiency in Java/Python for scripting and building automation frameworks (Selenium, Appium, JUnit/TestNG).
- Proven experience designing and scaling automation frameworks from the ground up.
- Strong experience with API testing (Postman, SoapUI, REST Assured) and version control (Git).
- Strong command of SQL for database validation in financial systems.
- Prior experience mentoring or leading a small QA team is highly desirable.
- Strong Agile/Scrum experience with tools like JIRA and Confluence.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder communication skills.
Working Hours and Days Full Time
- Monday to Saturday (Sat – WFH)
- 10:00 A.M. – 6:30 P.M
