Job Summary
The Billing Executive is responsible for accurate and timely patient billing, insurance coordination, and payment processing. This role ensures compliance with hospital policies, minimizes billing errors, and supports a smooth financial experience for patients.
Key Responsibilities Patient Billing & Invoicing
- Generate accurate bills for OPD, IPD, diagnostics, and procedures
- Ensure all services, consumables, and medications are correctly captured
- Handle discharge billing efficiently to avoid delays
Payment Collection
- Collect payments via cash, card, UPI, and online modes
- Issue receipts and maintain proper transaction records
- Reconcile daily collections and report discrepancies
Insurance & TPA Coordination
- Coordinate with insurance companies and TPAs for approvals
- Process cashless and reimbursement cases
- Ensure proper documentation for claims submission
Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain billing records, invoices, and patient financial documents
- Ensure adherence to hospital policies and audit requirements (NABH standards)
- Support internal and external audits
Coordination & Support
- Work closely with reception, nursing, pharmacy, and diagnostics teams
- Resolve patient billing queries and concerns professionally
- Assist in discharge clearance process
Required Qualifications
- Graduate in Commerce / Finance / Healthcare Administration preferred
- Certification in hospital billing or accounts is an added advantage
Experience
- 1–4 years of experience in hospital billing / healthcare finance
- Freshers with strong aptitude may be considered for junior roles
Skills Required
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Knowledge of billing software / HIS systems
- Understanding of insurance and TPA processes
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Good communication and patient-handling skills
Preferred Profile
- Experience in NABH-accredited hospitals
- Familiarity with medical coding and billing compliance
- Exposure to high patient volume setups

Pay: ₹180,000.00 - ₹260,000.00 per year
