The Opportunity
Enablement Engineers are responsible for driving adoption of 1ES platform capabilities. They create clear documentation, sample code, and practical tutorials to accelerate implementation, partnering with product teams to understand their systems and helping them adapt existing applications to leverage new capabilities while meeting established standards and policies.
What You’ll Contribute
- You will combine strong platform engineering, DevOps, and enablement skills to help product teams deliver safely and quickly.

You will bring hands-on experience with Version Control (Git), Build Tools (GitHub Actions), Cloud Platforms (AWS), Cloud Infrastructure (Kubernetes, ArgoCD, and Crossplane), Infrastructure as Code, internal developer portal (Backstage), and Observability solutions to accelerate adoption across engineering teams.

You will design, deploy, and manage scalable cloud solutions on AWS public cloud platform via Infrastructure as Code.

You will enable self-service by creating reusable templates, documentation, and reference implementations that help teams adopt best practices with minimal friction.

You will apply AI to improve developer experience, using LLM‑assisted guidance, automation, and contextual knowledge to simplify onboarding, reduce cognitive load, and help engineers move from idea to production faster—while promoting responsible and secure usage.

You will enjoy helping other engineers apply best practices and develop their applications to innovate at the speed of business.

You will help shape our delivery platforms by building strong relationships within the platform and interacting with Cyber-security, education, and professional services organizations.

You will research industry trends and successes (CNCF ecosystem, platform engineering patterns,) and design and facilitate training sessions on emerging platform technologies—translating complex concepts into actionable guidance through documentation and real-world examples.

You will use data to inform decision making by analyzing platform metrics, adoption trends, and establishing feedback loops with users to validate solutions and iterate on platform and enablement materials based on actual team needs; you will create dashboards and integrate into Backstage IDP for visibility into platform health and adoption.

You will guide teams through implementation of CI/CD pipelines, containerization strategies, Kubernetes deployment patterns, infrastructure automation, and observability solutions with real-world, production-grade examples.

You will implement security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

You will implement and support Observability solutions to ensure platform performance, reliability, and scalability.
What We're Seeking
- Experience in cloud & platform engineering, DevOps, or infrastructure roles with demonstrated growth.

Strong proficiency with AWS cloud services including compute, storage, networking, and cloud native services.
-
Solid hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows for Kubernetes application delivery.

Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code for resource provisioning and deployments.

Experience with ArgoCD, Argo Workflows, CircleCI, or GitHub Actions. Experience with Crossplane a plus.

Programming skills in Golang and/or Python for building platform tooling and automation.

Experience with Grafana, OpenTelemetry (OTel), and Backstage.

A natural teacher who enjoys breaking down complex topics for both technical and non-technical audiences.

A customer focused team player that won’t rest until the customer’s needs are met.

Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively on technical initiatives.

Strong communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.

Understanding of SRE or Software Engineering practices and principles.

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline, or equivalent experience.

AWS certifications (Solutions Architect Associate/Professional, DevOps Engineer) preferred.
