We are hiring an experienced Freight Broker to join our team immediately. The ideal candidate should have at least 6 months of experience in US logistics and a strong understanding of the freight brokerage process.
You will be responsible for sourcing loads, coordinating with carriers and shippers, negotiating rates, and ensuring smooth and timely movement of freight.
Responsibilities
- Find and book freight loads through various load boards and broker/carrier networks.
- Coordinate with shippers, carriers, and drivers to ensure smooth transportation.
- Negotiate freight rates with carriers and customers.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers and shippers.
- Track shipments and provide timely updates.
- Handle rate confirmations, paperwork, and other shipment-related documentation.
- Resolve issues related to delays, pickups, deliveries, and scheduling.
- Maintain accurate records of shipments and communications.
- Meet daily and monthly performance and revenue targets.
Requirements
- Minimum 6 months of experience in freight brokerage.
- Strong knowledge of the freight industry.
- Experience working with load boards and carrier networks.
- Good negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple shipments simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Immediate joiners preferred.
