JOB DESCRIPTION
ABODE School is seeking an Homeroom Teacher Grade 2 who is responsible for handling core subjects including English, Math, Science, and Social Studies creating a supportive and engaging classroom environment that fosters academic growth as well as social and emotional development of all students.
Key responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Demonstrate child-centric behaviour and use positive language and interactions with children.
- Develop and deliver engaging lessons in core subjects (Math, Science, English, and Social Studies) aligned with aligning with the school's curriculum.
- Monitor and assess student progress using formative and summative assessments, providing feedback and support for improvement.
- Develop and implement effective teaching strategies, including differentiated instruction, to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Collaborate effectively as a team member.
- Demonstrate strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Exhibit readiness to learn and adapt to new philosophy.
Educational Qualification & Experience:
1. Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in English, Education or a related field
2. Over three years of experience in teaching in Grade 2.
3. Familiarity with the Cambridge curriculum is preferred.
