Evaluator – Job Description (Renault Car Showroom)
Position: Evaluator (Used Car / Exchange Vehicle)
Job Summary:
The Evaluator is responsible for inspecting and evaluating customer vehicles offered for exchange or purchase. The role involves assessing vehicle condition, verifying documents, estimating market value, and preparing evaluation reports to support sales and procurement activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect used vehicles for mechanical, electrical, and body condition.
- Conduct test drives to assess vehicle performance.
- Check and verify vehicle documents (RC, Insurance, Service History, etc.).
- Identify accident history, repairs, and refurbishment requirements.
- Determine the fair market value of exchange vehicles.
- Prepare and submit vehicle evaluation reports.
- Coordinate with the sales team regarding exchange and purchase quotations.
- Maintain records of all evaluated vehicles.
- Ensure compliance with company standards and procedures.
Requirements:
- Diploma / ITI in Automobile or Mechanical Engineering preferred.
- Knowledge of automobile systems and vehicle inspection.
- Valid driving license.
- Good communication and customer-handling skills.
- Basic computer knowledge and reporting skills.
- Experience in automobile dealerships or used car evaluation is an advantage.
