Job Summary
The Admission Counsellor is responsible for managing the student admission process from the initial enquiry through enrolment. The role involves counselling prospective parents, conducting school tours, maintaining admission records, coordinating with academic and administrative departments, and ensuring a smooth and positive admission experience while achieving the school's admission targets.
Key ResponsibilitiesAdmission Management
- Handle walk-in, telephone, email, and online admission enquiries professionally.
- Counsel prospective parents regarding the school's curriculum, facilities, teaching methodology, fee structure, and admission process.
- Conduct school tours for prospective parents and students.
- Assist parents in completing admission forms and submitting the required documents.
- Follow up with prospective parents to convert enquiries into admissions.
- Coordinate admission assessments, interviews, and classroom observations.
- Prepare admission offers and coordinate the enrolment process.
Parent Relationship Management
- Build positive relationships with prospective and existing parents.
- Address parent queries promptly and professionally.
- Ensure a high standard of customer service throughout the admission process.
- Maintain confidentiality of student and parent information.
Documentation & Records
- Maintain accurate admission records and student databases.
- Verify student documents and ensure compliance with school policies.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly admission reports.
- Update enquiry and admission status in the school's ERP/CRM system.
Marketing & Outreach
- Support admission campaigns and promotional activities.
- Participate in school events, open houses, exhibitions, and education fairs.
- Coordinate with the marketing team to generate admission leads.
- Build relationships with preschools and community organizations to promote admissions.
Coordination
- Coordinate with academic, transport, accounts, and administration departments to facilitate student admissions.
- Ensure smooth communication between parents and relevant school departments.
- Assist in orientation programmes for newly admitted students and parents.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- Master's degree is preferred.
Experience
- 2–5 years of experience in school admissions, counselling, customer service, or educational administration.
- Experience in a CBSE, ICSE, IB, IGCSE, or State Board school is an advantage.

Working Conditions
- Six-day working week (as per school policy).
- Availability to work during school events, admission drives, and occasional weekends.
