HCN News is expanding its reporting network in Gorakhpur and is looking for motivated individuals interested in journalism and field reporting.
The role involves covering local developments, public issues, politics, civic matters, and other newsworthy events from the ground. Candidates should be comfortable interacting with people, gathering information, and reporting from different locations within the district.
Key Responsibilities
- Cover local news, events, and current affairs
- Conduct interviews with members of the public and local stakeholders
- Report on political, civic, social, and public-interest issues
- Record video footage using a smartphone or camera
- Share timely updates, information, and footage with the editorial team
- Coordinate with the newsroom on assignments and breaking stories
Requirements
- Good communication skills in Hindi
- Interest in journalism, media, or reporting
- Ability to travel within the local area for assignments
- Smartphone with internet access
- Basic knowledge of video recording is an advantage
- Freshers as well as experienced candidates may apply
