Key Responsibilities
:
- Diagnostics & Troubleshooting:
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics on premium and luxury vehicles, using advanced diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Identify electrical, mechanical, and electronic issues and provide precise solutions.
- Conduct fault finding and root cause analysis to determine the source of issues in complex systems.
- Maintenance & Repair:
- Conduct routine maintenance services, including oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and fluid checks.
- Perform complex repairs on high-performance engines, transmissions, suspension systems, electrical systems, and air conditioning units.
- Work on specialized systems, such as advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), hybrid or electric vehicle components, and luxury infotainment systems.
- Customer Service & Communication:
- Communicate clearly and effectively with customers regarding the condition of their vehicles, necessary repairs, and estimated service times.
- Provide expert recommendations for vehicle maintenance to ensure long-term performance and reliability.
- Uphold the brand’s standards for customer service, creating a positive customer experience.
- Quality Control:
- Ensure that all work is performed to the highest standards of safety and quality, adhering to manufacturer guidelines.
- Conduct final inspections and test drives to verify the quality and integrity of repairs and maintenance.
- Maintain detailed service records and provide written reports on vehicle repairs and services.
- Specialized Skills & Training:
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in automotive technology and repair techniques, particularly those specific to luxury and premium vehicles.
- Participate in ongoing training sessions provided by the manufacturer or dealership to maintain technical expertise and certifications.
- Troubleshoot complex electronic systems, utilizing both in-vehicle diagnostics and specialized software.
- Parts and Equipment:
- Ensure the proper use and maintenance of specialized tools and diagnostic equipment.
- Work closely with the parts department to order and replace components for repairs.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized workshop environment, following best practices for equipment handling and safety. Qualifications:
- Education & Certification:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certification, with additional certifications related to luxury or performance vehicles, is a plus.
- Manufacturer-specific certifications (e.g., BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, etc.) highly desirable.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 4 years of experience as an automotive technician, with a focus on premium and luxury vehicles.
- Hands-on experience with high-performance, electric, and hybrid systems is a plus.
- Strong understanding of advanced diagnostics tools and automotive technologies specific to premium vehicles.
- Skills:
- Proficient in the use of diagnostic tools, electronic systems, and specialized automotive equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. Compensation:
