The Infrastructure Consultant will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing IT infrastructure solutions for clients in the healthcare and packaging domains. The role involves assessing existing systems, identifying gaps, recommending best-fit technologies, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and enabling secure, high-performance, and scalable infrastructure to support critical business applications.
Key Responsibilities

Infrastructure Planning & Design

Assess current IT landscape, identify gaps, and design infrastructure solutions that align with business needs.

Recommend technology upgrades, migrations, and cloud adoption strategies for improved performance and scalability.

Design and implement disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity plans.

Healthcare Domain Focus
-
Ensure compliance with healthcare IT regulations (HIPAA, NABH, HL7, GDPR where applicable).

Design secure environments for EMR/EHR systems, PACS imaging solutions, telemedicine platforms, and hospital management systems.

Implement secure data storage, backup, and retrieval processes for sensitive patient records.

Packaging Industry Focus

Plan and optimize IT infrastructure for manufacturing facilities, including shop-floor automation, IoT integration, and production planning systems.

Support ERP/MES platforms with reliable compute, storage, and network solutions.

Enable secure connectivity between manufacturing sites, warehouses, and corporate offices.

Implementation & Support

Lead infrastructure deployment projects (servers, storage, virtualization, network, security).

Coordinate with application and security teams for end-to-end solution delivery.

Provide technical oversight during migrations, upgrades, and system integrations.

Security & Compliance

Implement and maintain firewalls, endpoint security, and access control mechanisms.

Conduct regular infrastructure security audits and vulnerability assessments.

Maintain compliance documentation and audit readiness.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

Work closely with client IT teams, business leaders, and third-party vendors to ensure project success.

Translate business requirements into technical solutions with clear cost-benefit analysis.

Provide training and knowledge transfer to client IT teams.
Skills & Qualifications
Technical Skills

Strong knowledge of server, storage, and virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).

Networking expertise (LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi, VLANs, routing, switching, firewalls).

Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and hybrid cloud setups.

Backup & DR tools (Veeam, Commvault, Rubrik, etc.).

Monitoring and performance tuning tools (Nagios, SolarWinds, etc.).
Domain-Specific Skills

Healthcare: EMR/EHR integration, PACS/DICOM handling, healthcare data security.

Packaging: MES/ERP integration, OT/IT convergence, industrial IoT infrastructure.

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure consulting or enterprise IT projects.

Industry certifications preferred (Azure/AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Cisco CCNA/CCNP, VMware VCP, ITIL Foundation).
