Job Overview Neuro Nest Occupational Therapy Centre is seeking a compassionate, energetic Play Therapy Assistant to join our clinical team in Salem. In this role, you will work directly under the guidance of lead occupational therapists to engage children with special needs through structured play, assist during therapy sessions, and support customized developmental activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Child Engagement: Facilitate interactive, play-based activities tailored to each child's developmental goals and special needs.
- Therapist Support: Assist lead occupational therapists during one-on-one and group therapy sessions with equipment setup, child handling, and session management.
- Educational & Skill Support: Implement basic educational and behavioral activities matching the individual learning pace and needs of each child.
- Safety & Care: Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming sensory environment; ensure patient safety and comfort throughout all activities.
- Routine Management: Assist with scheduling support, keeping play area materials organized, and tracking basic session observations.
Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Higher Secondary (12th Pass), Diploma, or Graduate in Special Education, Psychology, Early Childhood Care, or related fields.
- Experience: Experience working with children with special needs (Autism, ADHD, developmental delays) or in a preschool/special education setting is preferred.
- Key Traits: High patience, strong empathy, active energy, and strong verbal communication skills in Tamil.
- Passion for working with children and learning developmental therapy techniques.

- Location: Neuro Nest Occupational Therapy Centre, Salem.
- Schedule: Day shift (Full-time).
Pay: ₹8,000.00 - ₹10,000.00 per month
