Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and result-oriented Modern Trade Sales Officer to drive sales growth and strengthen our presence across Modern Trade channels. The ideal candidate should possess strong experience in managing key modern trade accounts, executing sales strategies, ensuring excellent in-store visibility, and building long-term customer relationships. The role requires extensive market travel and the ability to independently manage assigned territories.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and grow business across Modern Trade outlets, regional chains, and organized retail accounts.
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for the assigned territory.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with store managers, category managers, and key account personnel.
- Ensure effective execution of promotional activities, trade schemes, product launches, and merchandising initiatives.
- Monitor product availability, stock levels, replenishment, and minimize stock-outs across stores.
- Improve product visibility through planogram compliance, secondary displays, and POSM execution.
- Identify opportunities for business expansion by onboarding new Modern Trade accounts.
- Track competitor activities, pricing, promotions, and market trends, and share actionable insights.
- Coordinate with distributors and internal supply chain teams to ensure timely order processing and deliveries.
- Resolve customer concerns and ensure high service standards.
- Prepare regular sales reports, market feedback, and business performance updates.
- Maintain discipline in beat planning, market coverage, and reporting through CRM or company reporting systems.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline (MBA in Marketing/Sales will be an added advantage).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Modern Trade Sales within the Food, FMCG, or Consumer Products industry.
- Strong understanding of Modern Trade operations, merchandising, and retail execution.
- Experience handling key accounts such as Reliance Retail, DMart, Spencer's, More Retail, Vishal Mega Mart, Star Bazaar, Metro, or other regional modern trade chains.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
- Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and sales reporting.
- Self-driven, target-oriented, and capable of working independently.
Travel Requirement
- Willingness to travel extensively across Nagpur, nearby districts (such as Wardha, Amravati, Chandrapur, Bhandara, Gondia, Akola, Yavatmal), and other parts of Maharashtra as per business requirements.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
