About the role
The Senior Admissions Counsellor will lead and manage the admissions counselling function, serving as a key point of contact for prospective families and guiding them through the admissions journey. The role involves understanding needs, effectively communicating the school’s vision and the value of its IB programmes, and ensuring a seamless, personalized and engaging admissions experience.
Position Responsibilities -
1.Lead and manage the campus admissions team, taking ownership of campus admission targets, conversion goals, and overall enrolment performance.
2.Develop and execute campus-specific admissions strategies to achieve enrolment targets and strengthen the admissions pipeline.
3.Monitor team performance, basic training to counsellors, identify gaps, and drive accountability against individual and campus KPIs.
4.Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective students, parents, educational consultants, feeder schools, and other key stakeholders.
5.Guide prospective families through the complete admissions journey, providing accurate information on programmes, curriculum, deadlines, eligibility, requirements, and school processes.
6.Review applications and supporting documents to ensure completeness, accuracy, and adherence to school admissions requirements.
7.Plan and coordinate campus tours, open houses, information sessions, parent interactions, orientation programmes, and other admissions events.
8.Ensure a consistent, high-quality parent experience across all admissions touchpoints, from enquiry through enrolment.
9.Maintain accurate and timely applicant records, ensuring complete data capture and follow-up through the admissions CRM.
10.Analyse Maintain admissions data, conversion trends, lead sources, competitor activity notes, and campus performance to identify opportunities and recommend corrective actions.
11.Work closely with Academic, Finance, Operations, Transport, IT, Marketing, and other teams to ensure a seamless admissions and enrolment process.
12.Conduct competitor mystery shopping and market analysis to identify emerging trends, parent expectations, positioning opportunities, and potential sources of enrolment.
13.Participate Suggest points for the development and implementation of admissions policies, SOPs, processes, and service standards.
14.Proactively address new parent concerns, objections, and escalations, ensuring timely resolution and a positive admissions experience.
15.Represent the school professionally at external events, parent forums, education fairs, community engagements, and other outreach opportunities.
Who we are looking for:
Position Requirements
1.Proven experience in admissions, enrolment, counselling, sales, business development, or a related customer-facing function, preferably within a school or education environment.
2.Prior experience in an IB or Cambridge International school is preferred.
3.Demonstrated experience in leading teams and achieving enrolment/admissions targets.
4.Strong understanding of the complete school admissions funnel, from lead generation and enquiry management to application, offer, conversion, and enrolment.
5.Strong people-management, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder-management skills.
6.Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
7.Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret admissions data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
8.High attention to detail and strong process orientation.
9.Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a customer-centric approach.
10.Ability to build trust and long-term relationships with parents, students, consultants, and internal stakeholders.
11.Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
12.Ability to work independently, take ownership, and operate effectively in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
13.Proficiency in CRM/admissions management systems like Dynamics, HubSpot, and reporting dashboards.
14.Adaptable, resilient, and comfortable working in a dynamic school environment with changing priorities.
