About the Role
We are looking for a Platform Quality Engineer – Identity & Performance to join our high-performing team in the Banking Platform Services
This role is not traditional QA.
You will operate at the platform layer, owning automation, performance validation, identity integrations, and CI/CD quality gates across modern micro services-based banking systems.
You will work closely with Engineers, DevOps, Architects, and Identity Specialists to ensure scalable, secure and resilient platform services
What You Will Do
Platform-Level Quality Engineering
- Design and build scalable automation frameworks using Playwright (TypeScript/Python)
- Implement API and UI automation across micro services architecture
- Own test strategy across identity-enabled services
Identity & Access Validation
- Validate authentication and authorization flows (OAuth2, OIDC, JWT)
- Work on identity platforms such as ForgeRock
- Test token lifecycle, federation, SSO and policy enforcement
- Collaborate with security teams on IAM validation
Performance & Resilience
- Design performance test suites using K6
- Conduct load, stress and endurance testing
- Analyse bottlenecks across distributed services
- Validate platform scalability under peak transaction loads
DevOps & CI/CD Ownership
- Integrate automation into GitHub Actions / Codefresh pipelines
- Enable quality gates in CI/CD workflows
- Maintain version control using Git
- Support shift-left testing practices
Service Virtualisation
- Use Mountebank for stubbing and service simulation
- Enable independent testing of micro services
What We’re Looking For
Experience
- 7–10 years in Quality Engineering
- Strong background in platform/API automation (not manual-heavy QA)
- Experience in banking or fintech environments preferred
Technical Skills
- Playwright (mandatory)
- TypeScript or Python
- K6 for performance testing
- CI/CD exposure (GitHub Actions / Codefresh)
- Service stubbing (Mountebank)
- Microservices and distributed systems testing
Domain Knowledge (Preferred)
- Banking / Financial Services
- Identity & Access Management
- Experience with IAM platforms (ForgeRock preferred)
