Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Mechanical Design Engineer with a strong mechanical engineering background and hands-on experience in steel fabrication. The ideal candidate should have excellent knowledge of AutoCAD (2D & 3D), SolidWorks, and mechanical design principles. The role involves preparing detailed fabrication drawings, 3D models, and supporting manufacturing processes with accurate engineering documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and fabricated steel .
- Create detailed 2D manufacturing drawings and 3D models using AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
- Prepare fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, BOM (Bill of Materials), and production documentation.
- Interpret customer requirements, technical specifications, and engineering standards.
- Coordinate with production, fabrication, and quality teams to ensure design feasibility and manufacturability.
- Review and modify existing designs based on production feedback and customer requirements.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable engineering standards and safety requirements.
- Support project execution by providing technical assistance during manufacturing and installation.
- Maintain proper documentation and revision control for all engineering drawings.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- 2–6 years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in the steel fabrication or structural fabrication industry.
- Strong understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals and fabrication processes.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D & 3D) and SolidWorks.
- Good knowledge of fabrication drawings, welding details, sheet metal, structural steel, and assembly design.
- Ability to prepare accurate manufacturing and fabrication drawings.
- Familiarity with BOM preparation and engineering documentation.
- Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in the steel, heavy engineering, or fabrication industry.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, machining, welding, and assembly techniques.
- Understanding of engineering standards and GD&T will be an added advantage.
- Exposure to project coordination and production support.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
