Our customers are primarily based in Australia and include homeowners, interior designers, architects, builders and businesses looking for high-quality furniture solutions.
We are looking for a sincere, proactive and well-spoken Sales Trainee based in India to support our remote sales operations. The role is ideal for someone who wants to learn premium furniture sales, customer handling, BOQ preparation, remote sales coordination and international client communication.
Role Overview
As a Sales Trainee, you will assist the sales team in handling inbound customer enquiries, preparing product details, supporting BOQ and quotation preparation, maintaining follow-ups, and coordinating with the Australia-based sales team.
This is a learning and support role. You will not be expected to independently manage complex sales from day one. However, over time, you will be trained to understand customer requirements, recommend suitable furniture products, prepare accurate BOQs, and support the sales process more independently.
All customer engagement will be handled remotely through calls, WhatsApp, email, video calls and online communication channels, in coordination with the sales team in Australia.
Key ResponsibilitiesSales Support & Customer Coordination
· Assist in handling inbound customer enquiries received through website, social media, WhatsApp, phone calls and other online channels.
· Support the sales team in engaging with Australian customers, architects, interior designers and business clients.
· Help collect customer requirements, room details, product preferences, measurements, reference images and budget information.
· Share customer requirements with the Australia-based sales team for further review and guidance.
· Assist in explaining basic product details, materials, sizes, finishes, pricing ranges and customization options.
· Maintain polite, timely and professional communication with customers under guidance from senior team members.
BOQ & Quotation Assistance
· Assist in preparing draft BOQs, quotations and product proposals based on customer requirements.
· Help update product details, quantities, dimensions, finishes, fabrics, polish options and pricing information.
· Coordinate with the internal team to confirm missing details before final BOQ preparation.
· Revise BOQs and quotations as per customer feedback and senior team instructions.
· Ensure data accuracy while entering product, customer and order details.
Lead Follow-up & CRM Support
· Maintain records of customer enquiries, conversations, follow-ups and quotation status.
· Update CRM, spreadsheets, WhatsApp Business or other tracking systems as required.
· Follow up with leads as per instructions from the sales team.
· Track pending customer responses and remind senior team members where action is required.
· Help ensure that no enquiry or potential lead is missed.
Product Learning
· Learn about the company’s furniture range, materials, wood types, finishes, fabrics, design styles and customization options.
· Understand basic furniture categories such as sofas, dining sets, beds, consoles, coffee tables, chairs, cabinets and custom furniture.
· Learn how to understand customer requirements based on space, style, size, finish and budget.
· Stay updated on furniture trends, interior styles and Australian customer preferences.
Coordination with Australia Sales Team
· Work closely with the Australia-based sales team for customer requirements, pricing, specifications, product availability and delivery timelines.
· Support smooth communication between India-based sales support and the Australia customer-facing team.
· Attend internal training, review calls and sales coordination meetings as required.
· Maintain confidentiality and accuracy while handling customer and business information.
Required Skills & Qualifications
· Good communication skills in English and Hindi.
· Comfortable with phone calls, WhatsApp, email and video calls.
· Willingness to learn furniture sales, customer handling and BOQ preparation.
· Basic computer skills, including spreadsheets, email and online tools.
· Good attention to detail.
· Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks on time.
· Polite, professional and customer-friendly attitude.
· Self-motivated and sincere approach to work.
· Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not mandatory for the right candidate.

Preferred Skills
· Interest in furniture, interiors, home décor, architecture or design.
· Basic understanding of measurements, room layouts or product specifications.
· Previous internship, trainee experience or customer service exposure will be an advantage.
· Familiarity with WhatsApp Business, CRM, Google Sheets, Excel or similar tools will be helpful.
· Experience working with international customers or remote teams will be an added advantage, but is not mandatory.
Training Provided
The selected candidate will receive training in:
