Site Engineer – Job DescriptionPosition Summary
A Site Engineer is responsible for overseeing construction activities at project sites, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, within budget, and according to approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
Key ResponsibilitiesConstruction Supervision
- Supervise day-to-day site operations and construction activities.
- Ensure work is executed as per approved drawings and project specifications.
- Monitor labor productivity and subcontractor performance.
- Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and project managers.
Quality Control
- Conduct site inspections and quality checks.
- Ensure compliance with project quality standards and procedures.
- Verify materials used at the site meet specifications.
- Prepare and maintain quality-related documentation.
Planning & Coordination
- Review construction drawings and identify discrepancies.
- Coordinate material deliveries and resource allocation.
- Assist in project scheduling and progress tracking.
- Attend project meetings and provide status updates.
Safety Management
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings.
- Report and investigate site incidents and hazards.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain daily progress reports and site records.
- Prepare measurement sheets and work progress reports.
- Track material consumption and site inventories.
- Support billing and project documentation processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or related field.
- 1–5 years of experience in construction site supervision (depending on role level).
- Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety practices.
