To supervise and manage civil construction activities for power projects, ensuring execution as per approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, project schedules, and budget.
- Civil Construction Execution
- Manage and supervise civil works such as foundations, equipment foundations, RCC structures, buildings, roads, drains, cable trenches, piling, structural works and other infrastructure.
- Ensure execution is as per approved drawings, specifications and method statements.
- Coordinate day-to-day activities with contractors, subcontractors and site teams.
- Planning & Scheduling
- Prepare daily/weekly/monthly execution plans for civil works.
- Monitor progress against the project schedule and identify delays.
- Coordinate with planning, electrical, mechanical and other departments to ensure smooth interface activities.
- Drawing & Technical Coordination
- Review civil and structural drawings, BOQs and technical specifications.
- Coordinate with the engineering/design team for drawing clarifications and revisions.
- Raise RFIs/TQs wherever required and ensure timely resolution of technical issues.
- Quality Control
- Ensure construction activities comply with approved quality standards and project specifications.
- Coordinate with QA/QC teams for inspection and testing of concrete, reinforcement, soil, piling and other civil works.
- Ensure proper documentation of inspection reports, test results and quality records.
- Contractor Management
- Monitor contractor performance, manpower, equipment and productivity.
- Verify quantities and measurements of completed works.
- Coordinate with commercial/billing teams for RA bills, measurements and reconciliation.
- Resolve day-to-day site issues with contractors.
- Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with project HSE requirements and statutory regulations.
- Conduct regular site inspections and ensure corrective actions for unsafe conditions.
- Ensure safe execution of excavation, lifting, concreting, working at height and other construction activities.
- Material & Resource Management
- Monitor availability and consumption of construction materials.
- Coordinate with stores/procurement teams for timely availability of cement, steel, aggregates and other materials.
- Optimize manpower, machinery and other construction resources.
- Progress Monitoring & Reporting
- Prepare daily and weekly progress reports.
- Track quantities executed against planned targets.
- Highlight critical issues, delays, resource requirements and site constraints to management.
- Documentation
- Maintain DPRs, measurement records, inspection requests, drawings, checklists, test reports and other project documentation.
- Support preparation of as-built drawings and project completion documentation.
- Strong knowledge of civil construction and RCC works.
- Knowledge of power plant/power project civil works.
- Understanding of construction drawings, BOQ and specifications.

B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering from a recognized university/institute.
Typically 8–12 years of relevant experience in civil construction, preferably in Power Plant / EPC / Industrial / Infrastructure projects.
Experience in power plant civil works, including equipment foundations, turbine/generator foundations, RCC buildings, cooling tower-related works, roads and drains, cable trenches, piling, structural foundations and other balance-of-plant civil works.
