You’ll make a difference by:

Lead and coordinate the timely development of cost estimates and proposals for Fire Life Safety projects.

Perform project take-offs and quantify equipment, devices, and materials from bid documents.

Interpret specifications, sequence of operations, and customer requirements to determine system design and project scope.

Develop Bills of Material (BOM), Scope of Work (SOW), network riser diagrams, and complete technical documentation.

Design and recommend Fire Alarm, Fire & Smoke Detection, Audible/Visual Notification, Suppression, and Mass Notification systems in compliance with applicable codes and regulations.

Identify value engineering opportunities and provide alternative code-compliant system designs.
-
Prepare and coordinate subcontractor bid packages and collaborate with procurement teams to obtain competitive pricing.

Source and evaluate quotations from external vendors for ancillary products and services.

Prepare final customer proposals, including technical and commercial content.

Partner closely with sales and operations teams to address technical, commercial, and pricing inquiries.

Maintain complete estimate documentation and support project handover to operations upon order award.

Participate in cost review, technical review, and project handover meetings.

Utilize company estimating, design, bidding, and quoting tools to support project execution.

Collaborate effectively with remote teams across different locations and time zones.
Your success is grounded in:

Education
-
Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in Engineering, Fire Protection, Electrical, Electronics, or a related technical discipline preferred.

Experience
-
3 to 5 years of experience in Fire Life Safety systems, including Fire Alarm Supervisory Systems, Fire & Smoke Detection, Audible/Visual Notification, and Mass Notification Systems.

Experience in estimating, proposal development, and system design for fire protection projects.
-
Experience using estimating and quoting software is preferred.

NICET Level II Certification preferred or ability to obtain certification within 12 months of hire.

Technical Knowledge
-
Strong knowledge of Fire Alarm systems, building codes, and fire safety regulations.

Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and bid documents.

Knowledge of building construction processes and system integration requirements.
-
Ability to design networked Fire Life Safety and Global Voice Fire Alarm systems.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
