Position: English Teacher
Department: Academics
Reports To: Principal / Academic Coordinator
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging English lessons in accordance with the prescribed curriculum.
- Develop students' reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills through effective teaching strategies.
- Foster a love for literature, language, and communication among students.
- Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, assessments, and learning resources.
- Evaluate and monitor student progress through regular assessments, assignments, and examinations.
- Provide constructive feedback to help students improve their language proficiency.
- Encourage critical thinking, creativity, and effective communication skills.
- Maintain classroom discipline and create a positive learning environment.
- Identify students requiring additional academic support and provide remedial instruction.
- Participate in parent-teacher meetings and communicate student progress effectively.
- Organize and support literary activities such as debates, elocutions, storytelling, creative writing, and reading programs.
- Collaborate with colleagues for curriculum planning and academic enhancement.
- Integrate technology and innovative teaching methods into classroom instruction.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in English or a related field with B.Ed.
- Master's Degree in English preferred.
- Relevant teaching experience in CBSE/GSEB/ICSE schools is desirable.
- Strong command of English language, grammar, and literature.
