Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Packing Supervisor with mandatory experience in the fastener manufacturing industry. The candidate will be responsible for supervising day-to-day packing operations, ensuring accuracy, quality compliance, and timely dispatch as per customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily packing operations for fasteners (nuts, bolts, screws, washers).
- Ensure correct packing as per customer specifications (quantity, weight, labeling, barcoding, palletizing).
- Prevent and control mixing, shortages, overpacking, and incorrect labeling.
- Ensure availability of packing materials (bags, boxes, cartons, pallets).
- Maintain packing records, dispatch sheets, and traceability documentation.
- Coordinate effectively with Production, QA, and Dispatch departments.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, customer specifications, and FIFO practices.
- Monitor manpower utilization, productivity, and housekeeping in the packing area.
- Enforce safety regulations and implement 5S practices.
- Support internal and customer audits related to packing and dispatch.
Required Skills & Knowledge
- Strong knowledge of fastener packing standards.
- Understanding of lot control, batch identification, and traceability.
- Basic documentation and reporting skills.
- Ability to manage manpower and meet dispatch deadlines.
- Knowledge of weighing scales, packing machines, and labeling systems.
- Strong organizational and supervisory skills.
Qualifications
- Diploma / ITI / Graduate / 12th Standard
- 4–5 years of relevant experience in fastener manufacturing (Mandatory)
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Experience handling packing teams in manufacturing setup.
- Good coordination and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet dispatch timelines.
