JD – Pricing Head
To lead and manage the pricing strategy for Institutional Business by ensuring accurate cost estimation, effective SPA management, and margin optimization. The role involves close coordination with sales, technical, plant, finance, and operations to support customized product pricing, mitigate risks, and ensure profitability while maintaining alignment with business goals and customer expectations.
Main Responsibilities, Authorities & Accountabilities :
SPA Management for Institutional Enquiries
Manage the Special Price Authorization (SPA) process for MTO products. And price MTS products basis LME and NP guidance.
Conduct cost analysis, obtain pricing approvals, and maintain documentation.
Balance customer expectation and profitability to ensure high win rate.
Customization Support
Support sales teams in evaluating cost implications of customer-specific customization requests.
Help in BOQ optimisation along with sales team if required to optimise package prices.
Ensure balance between customer needs and profitability.
Cost Estimation Accuracy
Ensure accurate cost estimation for MTO products, including raw materials, drum cost, freight, and special requirements.
Metal Booking & SO Allocation:
Ensure timely metal booking as per LME rates.
Allocate Sales Orders (SO) and track execution
Margin Management
Monitor and analyze margins for MTO products.
Compare estimated vs. actual costs and take corrective actions.
Risk Management
Identify risks in MTO costing (e.g., cost overruns, pricing disputes).
Implement proactive measures and contingency plans.
Pending Order Review
Regularly review all pending MTO orders to ensure timely processing and resolution.
Process and Automation
Setup SOPs to streamline processes and reduce TAT.
Work on process automation to improve Go to market timelines.
Requirements, Skills & Competencies:
- Master’s degree in electrical engineering or Business Administration. Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from tier 1 institute.
- 10-15 years of experience in pricing, cost estimation, or commercial operations, preferably in manufacturing or MTO environments. (2 years post engineering in electrical).
Should have experience handling a team of 6–8 members
- Strong knowledge of Wires & Cables products and MTO processes.
- Proficiency in Salesforce CRM, SFDC Quote Maker, and MS Excel.
- Experience in margin analysis.
