Position Summary
The Personal Assistant / Stenographer to the Principal provides comprehensive secretarial, administrative, and stenographic support to the Principal of RNSIT. The role involves managing correspondence, scheduling, documentation, and confidential communication, and serves as a key point of coordination between the Principal's office and internal departments, external agencies, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
- Take dictation and prepare accurate shorthand/stenographic transcripts of correspondence, minutes of meetings, circulars, and official communications.
- Draft, type, format, and proofread letters, notices, reports, and official documents on behalf of the Principal.
- Manage the Principal's calendar, including scheduling and coordinating meetings, appointments, and academic/administrative engagements.
- Screen, prioritise, and route incoming calls, emails, and visitors; handle routine correspondence independently where appropriate.
- Maintain and organise confidential files, records, and documentation pertaining to the Principal's office.
- Coordinate with HODs, administrative staff, and external stakeholders (AICTE, VTU, and other regulatory bodies) on behalf of the Principal.
- Record and circulate minutes of meetings chaired by the Principal, and follow up on action items.
- Assist in preparing presentations, reports, and data compilations for institutional reviews, accreditation visits, and management meetings.
- Make travel, accommodation, and logistical arrangements for the Principal as required.
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding sensitive institutional, academic, and personnel matters.
- Undertake any other administrative duties assigned by the Principal from time to time.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline; a diploma or certification in Secretarial Practice, Stenography, or Office Management is preferred.
- Proficiency in shorthand (English) with a minimum speed of 80–100 wpm, and typing speed of 40–50 wpm.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a Personal Assistant, Stenographer, or Executive Secretary, preferably in an educational institution or a professional/corporate office.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and standard office equipment.

Salary
Commensurate with experience and qualifications, as per Institution norms.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
