Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Purchase Executive / Purchase Engineer with a strong background in the Construction Industry. The candidate should have a minimum of 3 years of procurement experience in construction projects and be capable of handling end-to-end purchasing activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage procurement of construction materials, equipment, and services.
- Identify and develop reliable vendors and suppliers.
- Obtain quotations, compare prices, and negotiate for the best commercial terms.
- Prepare Purchase Orders (POs) and ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Coordinate with site teams to understand material requirements and procurement schedules.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure uninterrupted material availability.
- Maintain procurement records, vendor databases, and purchase reports.
- Ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with company procurement policies.
- Resolve supplier-related issues and manage vendor performance.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field.
- 5–8 years of total experience in Purchase/Procurement.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in the Construction Industry is mandatory.
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Good knowledge of construction materials, procurement processes, and market rates.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP software is preferred.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
