We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Placement Officer – Core Engineering to establish strong corporate relationships and create placement opportunities for students in the Mechanical, Automotive, and Aerospace sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with engineering companies across the Mechanical, Automotive, Aerospace, Manufacturing, Industrial Automation, and Product Design sectors.
- Generate placement opportunities through continuous corporate outreach and business development.
- Coordinate campus recruitment drives, walk-in interviews, virtual hiring events, and placement activities.
- Build long-term partnerships with HR professionals, Talent Acquisition teams, Engineering Managers, and hiring leaders.
- Expand Pumo Technovation's network of recruiters by onboarding new companies and strengthening existing partnerships.
- Understand current engineering hiring trends and align placement strategies with industry requirements.
- Coordinate with trainers to ensure students are technically prepared for recruitment processes.
- Organize resume-building sessions, mock interviews, aptitude tests, and career guidance programs.
- Maintain placement records, recruitment reports, employer databases, and placement statistics.
- Represent Pumo Technovation professionally during corporate meetings, industrial visits, job fairs, networking events, and recruitment discussions.
- Collaborate with internal teams to improve student employability and placement success.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in any discipline (MBA/HR preferred).
- 2–5+ years of experience in campus placements, corporate relations, recruitment, business development, or talent acquisition.
- Proven experience in generating placements within the Mechanical, Automotive, Aerospace, Manufacturing, or Engineering Services industries.
- Existing network of HR professionals, Talent Acquisition teams, engineering recruiters, or industry contacts will be a significant advantage.
Required Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (Mandatory).
- Strong presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven expertise in building relationships with engineering companies and securing placement opportunities.
- Ability to confidently engage with HR Managers, Plant HR, Talent Acquisition Specialists, Engineering Managers, and senior corporate stakeholders.
- Strong networking, corporate outreach, and business relationship management skills.
- Good understanding of engineering recruitment processes and current industry hiring trends.
- Excellent organizational, coordination, and time-management abilities.
- Ability to work independently, achieve placement targets, and build long-term recruiter partnerships.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, LinkedIn, job portals, and CRM tools.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Established professional network within the Mechanical, Automotive, Aerospace, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering sectors.
- Experience working with engineering colleges, technical institutions, training organizations, universities, or placement cells.
- Self-motivated, target-oriented, and proactive in developing corporate partnerships.
- Passionate about helping engineering students build successful careers in core industries.
