Job Summary
The Graduate Engineer Trainee (GET) will undergo structured training in various manufacturing functions to develop technical knowledge, operational skills, and leadership capabilities. The trainee will assist in production, maintenance, quality assurance, process improvement, safety compliance, and project activities while learning company systems and manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities
Production
- Assist in daily production planning and execution.
- Monitor machine performance and production targets.
- Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Analyze production data and prepare daily reports.
- Support productivity and efficiency improvement initiatives.
Maintenance
- Assist in preventive and breakdown maintenance activities.
- Monitor equipment performance and downtime.
- Coordinate with maintenance teams for timely repairs.
- Maintain maintenance records and checklists.
Quality
- Support quality inspections and testing activities.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
- Assist in root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Maintain quality documentation and reports.
Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities for process optimization.
- Participate in Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, TPM, and Six Sigma initiatives.
- Assist in reducing waste and improving productivity.
Safety & Compliance
- Follow all safety rules, PPE requirements, and company policies.
- Participate in safety audits and toolbox talks.
- Report unsafe conditions and near-miss incidents immediately.
- Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations.
Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
- Maintain production, maintenance, and quality records.
- Update ERP/MIS data as required.
Training & Development
- Attend all technical and behavioral training sessions.
- Learn plant operations and manufacturing processes.
- Work across different departments during the training period.
Educational Qualification
- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Production, Instrumentation, Industrial, or related Engineering discipline.
- Freshers or candidates with up to 1 year of experience are preferred.
Required Skills
- Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes.
- Understanding of engineering drawings and technical documents.
- MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint proficiency.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to work in shifts, if required.
