Executive Officer – Supply Chain Planner
Reporting To Purchase Manager
Job Objective
To manage end-to-end supply chain activities, ensuring timely procurement, supplier coordination, order management, logistics follow-up, and inventory planning while maintaining quality, cost efficiency, and service excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Order Management
- Develop strong knowledge of supplier markets, supplier base, cost drivers, and product competitiveness.
- Ensure purchase orders approved by Finance are released to suppliers within agreed timelines.
- Obtain order confirmations from suppliers as per SLA requirements.
- Follow up with suppliers regularly regarding order status and delivery schedules.
- Monitor supplier performance and escalate delays, risks, or challenges while implementing corrective actions.
- Maintain strong supplier relationships and ensure timely receipt of shipping documents.
- Coordinate with Quality Assurance for inspections and sample testing when required.
- Review supplier documentation to ensure compliance with purchase order requirements.
- Forward shipping documents to Freight Management for shipment booking.
- Maintain accurate order status updates within internal systems.
- Communicate order progress and delivery updates to stakeholders and customers.
- Verify shipping documents, weight, volume, and master data accuracy.
- Ensure supplier invoices are submitted within agreed timelines to facilitate timely payment processing.

- Understanding of pharmaceutical, medical device, or related supply chain operations.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

Education
- Graduate or Master's Degree in Science, Commerce, Pharmacy, Supply Chain Management, Operations, or a related discipline.
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Supply Chain, Procurement, Planning, Logistics, or Purchasing functions. (Pharma or Medical Supplies)
Pay: ₹60,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
