INTERIOR DESIGN LEAD

At Goomti, design begins with listening. We believe identity precedes architecture, that a home is not shaped by its walls but by the life it is asked to hold. We are looking for a Design Lead who can hold that standard across every project, and bring a team along with them.
This is a role for a designer who has moved past doing the work alone. You will shape design across projects, guide junior designers and the 3D team, and make sure what leaves the studio reflects both the client's identity and Goomti's.
What you will do
- Lead design across residential and commercial projects, from concept to execution
- Translate a client's life, heritage, and aspirations into a coherent design language
- Guide and review the work of junior designers and the 3D visualisation team
- Develop concepts, layouts, material palettes, and detailed drawings
- Work closely with the projects and procurement team so design intent survives execution
- Visit sites and clients regularly, because some things can only be judged in the room
- Hold the design standard when a project is under pressure
What we are looking for
- Around 5 years of experience in interior design, specifically
- A portfolio that shows range, restraint, and a point of view
- Command of AutoCAD, SketchUp, and the Adobe Suite. 3D visualisation ability is a strong plus
- Working knowledge of materials, finishes, joinery, and detailing
- The ability to guide and review other designers' work with clarity and care
- Strong drawing and documentation discipline
- Comfort presenting to clients and defending a design decision
- A degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field

The details
Location: Kolkata, in-office, with regular client and site visits
Hours: Approximately 10:30 AM to 7:30 PM as a general benchmark. This is client-driven work, so timings vary. Early site visits and flexible days come with the role.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
