Job Summary
The Host/Hostess is responsible for delivering an exceptional first impression by warmly welcoming guests, managing reservations and seating arrangements, and ensuring a seamless dining experience onboard. The role requires excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to provide world-class customer service in a multicultural environment while maintaining the highest standards of hospitality.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome guests with a warm, friendly, and professional demeanor.
- Escort guests to their assigned tables and present menus.
- Manage restaurant reservations, seating plans, and waiting lists.
- Coordinate guest flow to maximize restaurant efficiency.
- Answer guest inquiries regarding menus, dining venues, and operating hours.
- Handle special requests such as birthdays, anniversaries, dietary requirements, and accessibility needs.
- Collaborate with Restaurant Managers, Head Waiters, and Servers to ensure smooth service.
- Monitor restaurant occupancy and maintain accurate seating records.
- Resolve minor guest concerns promptly and escalate issues when necessary.
- Maintain cleanliness and presentation of the reception and waiting area.
- Assist during embarkation, special events, themed dinners, and VIP functions.
- Ensure compliance with cruise line service standards, safety regulations, hygiene, and sanitation procedures.
- Promote onboard dining experiences and specialty restaurants to guests.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Hotel Management, Tourism, or a related field (preferred).
- 1–3 years of experience as a Host/Hostess, Guest Relations Executive, or Front Office Associate in a hotel, fine dining restaurant, resort, or cruise ship.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Fluent in English; additional foreign languages are an advantage.
- Strong customer service orientation and problem-solving abilities.
- Well-groomed appearance with a professional personality.
- Basic computer knowledge and familiarity with reservation/POS systems.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Pay: ₹60,000.00 - ₹99,000.00 per month
