Overview:
Titan, a leading jewellery brand, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Category Manager-Everyday Gold to join our team in Bengaluru, Karnataka. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in merchandising and a passion for the jewellery industry. As a Category Manager, you will be responsible for managing the Everyday Gold category for our brand Tanishq, ensuring its success and growth in the market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement category strategies to drive sales and profitability for the Everyday Gold category
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, customer needs, and competitor strategies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, production, and marketing to develop and launch new products
- Manage the product lifecycle from concept to launch, including pricing, inventory management, and promotions
- Monitor and analyze sales performance and make recommendations for improvements
- Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and negotiate favorable terms and pricing
- Stay updated on industry trends and make recommendations for product assortment and pricing strategies
- Develop and manage budgets for the category and ensure profitability targets are met
- Train and mentor junior team members to ensure their growth and development within the company
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in merchandising, preferably in the jewellery industry
- Strong understanding of market trends and customer needs
- Proven track record of successfully managing a product category and driving sales growth
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and experience with merchandising software is a plus
Additional Parameters:
- Must be willing to travel for business purposes
- Knowledge of local and international jewellery markets is a plus
- Experience with e-commerce and digital marketing is a plus

Work Experience
Professional Experience & Qualifications:

8–14 years of progressive experience in organized jewellery retail, preferably within high-volume gold categories.

Proven track record of managing large-scale, multi-SKU portfolios with significant revenue contribution

Demonstrated experience in driving volume growth while maintaining gross margin stability in a gold price-volatile environment.

Strong background in assortment planning, demand forecasting, and inventory optimization across multi-store networks.

Hands-on experience collaborating with manufacturing units and vendor ecosystems.

Exposure to ERP systems, business intelligence dashboards, and structured performance review mechanisms.

Experience working across diverse regional markets and understanding culturally driven buying behavior.
