We are looking for an experienced SPM Assembly Manager to lead and manage the assembly of Special Purpose Machines (SPM). The candidate will be responsible for managing the assembly team, planning machine assembly activities, ensuring quality, and completing projects on time.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise the complete SPM machine assembly process.
- Lead the assembly team and allocate daily work.
- Read and understand 2D/3D mechanical drawings and assembly drawings.
- Coordinate with Design, Electrical, Automation, Production, and Project teams.
- Ensure proper machine assembly, alignment, fitting, drilling, tapping, and installation.
- Monitor project progress and ensure timely completion.
- Identify and resolve assembly and machine-related issues.
- Ensure proper quality standards are followed during assembly.
- Supervise machine trial, testing, and commissioning activities.
- Manage manpower, tools, materials, and assembly requirements.
- Conduct regular progress reviews with the management.
- Maintain proper assembly records and project updates.
- Ensure safety procedures are followed by the assembly team.
Required Skills
- Strong experience in SPM machine assembly.
- Good knowledge of mechanical assembly and machine components.
- Ability to read mechanical drawings and BOM.
- Good knowledge of pneumatic systems and basic automation.
- Strong team management and leadership skills.
- Good problem-solving and decision-making ability.
- Ability to handle multiple SPM projects simultaneously.
Qualification
- Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 8+ years of relevant experience in SPM / Automation machine assembly preferred.
Preferred Experience
Experience in assembly of Special Purpose Machines, automation machines, fixtures, jigs, pneumatic systems, and production equipment will be an added advantage.
