We are looking for a highly organized and execution-driven Engineering Project Manager to partner with Product Management and Engineering teams in delivering high-quality software releases. This role is ideal for someone who understands the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), is passionate about Agile execution, and has strong hands-on experience with Jira.
The Engineering Project Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, tracking, and driving software development projects from requirement definition through release. The role requires close collaboration with Product Managers, Engineering Managers, QA, Platform, and other cross-functional teams to ensure projects are delivered on time with high quality.
The ideal candidate should possess excellent organizational skills, strong technical awareness, outstanding stakeholder management capabilities, and the ability to proactively identify risks, remove impediments, and provide clear project visibility to leadership.

Project Planning & Coordination
- Work closely with Product Managers to understand feature requirements, business priorities, and release plans.
- Collaborate with Engineering Managers to understand resource availability and plan feature execution.
- Break down product features into executable work items and coordinate effort estimation.
- Identify project dependencies and ensure appropriate sequencing of work across teams.
Agile Project Execution
- Create and maintain Epics, Stories, Tasks, and Sub-tasks in Jira.
- Ensure Jira is updated with accurate ownership, estimates, priorities, dependencies, and sprint assignments.
- Coordinate sprint planning, backlog grooming, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives as required.
- Monitor sprint progress and ensure deliverables remain aligned with project milestones.
Delivery Tracking & Risk Management
- Track day-to-day project execution across multiple engineering teams.
- Identify risks, blockers, and execution challenges early and proactively drive their resolution.
- Escalate critical issues with clear impact analysis and recommended mitigation plans.
- Coordinate with Product, Engineering, QA, Platform, and DevOps teams to remove execution bottlenecks.
- Monitor release readiness and ensure all milestones are achieved before product releases.
Reporting & Stakeholder Communication
- Prepare and publish project dashboards and status reports for Engineering Leadership.
- Provide regular visibility into project health, schedule adherence, risks, dependencies, and release readiness.
- Track action items from meetings and ensure timely closure.
- Facilitate effective communication across Product, Engineering, QA, and Leadership teams.
Process Excellence
- Ensure engineering teams consistently follow Agile development processes.
- Track delivery metrics such as sprint predictability, backlog health, feature completion, and release progress.
- Identify recurring execution bottlenecks and recommend process improvements to improve engineering efficiency.
- 4–6 years of experience in Project Management or Engineering Project Management.
- Experience managing Agile software development projects.
- Experience working with cross-functional product engineering teams.
- Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Good understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies.
- Strong hands-on experience with Jira, including backlog management, sprint planning, dashboards, filters, workflows, and reporting.
- Ability to create Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and manage project schedules.
- Strong understanding of software development concepts, APIs, databases, backend/frontend architecture, and cloud technologies.
- Programming awareness sufficient to understand technical discussions and engineering dependencies.
- Experience in release planning and execution tracking.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working in SaaS or Enterprise Product companies.
- Familiarity with observability, cloud-native platforms, distributed systems, or microservices.
- Experience using Confluence for project documentation.
- Basic understanding of SQL and REST APIs.
- Scrum Master or Agile certification.
