About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and results-driven Senior Sales Director to drive business growth within the telecom industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in telecom software and solutions, a proven ability to identify and win new business, and an established network within telecom operators and service providers.
This role is best suited for a highly motivated sales professional with a hunter mindset who excels at building relationships, leading complex sales cycles, and closing high-value enterprise deals.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive new business development and revenue growth within the telecom sector.
- Identify, qualify, and close strategic enterprise opportunities.
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve and exceed revenue targets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with telecom operators, service providers, and key decision-makers.
- Manage the complete sales lifecycle, from prospecting to contract closure.
- Collaborate with pre-sales, product, and delivery teams to deliver customer-focused solutions.
- Lead commercial negotiations, proposals, and contract discussions.
- Develop account plans and identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
- Monitor market trends, customer requirements, and competitor activities.
- Represent the company at customer meetings, industry events, and conferences.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or a related field. MBA is preferred.
- 12+ years of enterprise sales experience, with significant experience in the telecom industry.
- Proven experience in selling telecom software and solutions.
- Strong understanding of:
- Business Support Systems (BSS)
- Operations Support Systems (OSS)
- Online Charging System (OCS)
- Convergent Charging System (CCS)
- Policy and Charging Solutions
- Roaming Solutions
- Messaging Suite
- Value Added Services (VAS)
- Demonstrated success in hunting, acquiring, and closing large enterprise deals.
- Strong network and relationships within telecom operators and service providers.
- Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder sales engagements.
- Willingness to travel as required.
Mandatory Criteria
- Telecom domain experience is mandatory.
- Hands-on experience selling BSS/OSS, OCS/CCS, Policy & Charging Solutions, Roaming Solutions, Messaging Suite, and VAS solutions.
- Proven track record as a sales hunter with consistent success in winning and closing large enterprise deals.
