Job Role:
Responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining the solder paste printing machine and performing solder paste inspection to ensure accurate, defect-free paste deposition on PCB pads.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up stencil, tooling, and PCB support fixtures for solder paste printing.
- Load solder paste and verify paste quality (viscosity, expiry date, temperature).
- Align stencil to PCB using machine vision systems.
- Perform first-piece inspection after printing.
- Monitor print parameters: pressure, speed, separation, and alignment.
- Conduct regular stencil cleaning (wet, dry, vacuum).
- Operate SPI machine to inspect printed PCBs for solder paste defects.
- Review SPI feedback and adjust printer settings to correct defects.
- Record process parameters and maintain daily logs for both printing and inspection.
- Perform basic preventive maintenance on printer and SPI machines.
- Identify and escalate issues related to solder paste, stencil damage, alignment errors, or printing defects.
- Work closely with QA to ensure printed boards meet IPC standards.
