Role Overview
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented fresher Chemist to join our quality control / R&D / process chemistry team. The role involves supporting laboratory analysis, quality testing of minerals and specialty products, and contributing to process improvement under the guidance of senior chemists and technical teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine chemical and physical analysis of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished mineral products as per standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Conduct tests related to particle size, purity, moisture content, pH, oil absorption, brightness, and other relevant parameters for ultra-fine and specialty minerals.
- Prepare and maintain accurate laboratory records, test reports, and data sheets.
- Assist in calibration, maintenance, and proper handling of laboratory instruments and equipment.
- Support quality control activities to ensure products meet customer specifications and internal quality standards.
- Follow safety protocols, good laboratory practices (GLP), and environmental guidelines strictly.
- Assist senior chemists in developmental trials, process optimization, and troubleshooting as required.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laboratory work area.
- Coordinate with production, quality assurance, and logistics teams for sample handling and reporting.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Chemistry / Industrial Chemistry / Applied Chemistry or equivalent from a recognized university.
- Strong foundation in analytical chemistry, inorganic chemistry, and basic laboratory techniques.
- Familiarity with common laboratory instruments (preferred but not mandatory for freshers).
- Good observation skills, attention to detail, and ability to follow standardized procedures accurately.
- Basic computer skills (MS Office – Excel, Word) for data recording and reporting.
- Willingness to work in a plant/laboratory environment and learn specialized mineral testing methods.
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
- Safety-conscious mindset and readiness to adhere to company policies.
Pay: ₹200,000.00 - ₹400,000.00 per year
