About the Role
We are looking for a highly analytical, commercially driven, and research-oriented Finance Research Analyst Intern to support the financial growth and strategic expansion of our AI-powered products and technology consulting business.
This is not a conventional finance internship. You will work directly with the founders on startup finance, financial modelling, investment readiness, market research, product commercialization, fundraising strategy, bookkeeping, statutory compliance, and financial planning.
The ideal candidate enjoys combining finance, research, business strategy, and entrepreneurship to help transform innovative ideas into commercially viable products and scalable businesses.
Key Responsibilities1. Financial Modelling & Business Planning
- Design financial models for SaaS products, consulting services, and technology solutions.
- Prepare revenue models, pricing models, and profitability analyses.
- Build cash flow projections and financial forecasts.
- Develop break-even analyses and unit economics.
- Create scenario-based financial models for business planning.
- Evaluate the commercial feasibility of new business ideas.
2. Product Research & Financial Feasibility
- Research emerging technology markets and industry trends.
- Identify potential product development opportunities.
- Conduct market sizing (TAM, SAM, SOM) and competitor analysis.
- Perform commercial viability and ROI assessments for new products.
- Recommend innovative business opportunities aligned with company strategy.
- Assist founders in evaluating product investment priorities.
3. Startup Finance & Investment Research
- Research angel investors, venture capital firms, accelerators, incubators, and government funding schemes.
- Build and maintain investor databases.
- Identify suitable funding opportunities, grants, and startup programs.
- Prepare investor research reports.
- Assist in financial due diligence preparation.
- Support fundraising activities and investment documentation.
4. Financial Operations & Compliance
- Maintain day-to-day bookkeeping records.
- Record financial transactions accurately.
- Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
- Perform bank reconciliations.
- Assist in GST return preparation and statutory compliance.
- Coordinate with Chartered Accountants for regulatory filings.
- Maintain financial documentation and audit-ready records.
5. Pricing & Commercial Strategy
- Prepare pricing strategies for software products and consulting services.
- Estimate project costs and profit margins.
- Analyze pricing competitiveness.
- Support quotation preparation.
- Evaluate financial risks before project execution.
6. Business Intelligence & Strategic Research
- Research emerging industries and market opportunities.
- Analyze competitor financial strategies.
- Track industry trends affecting technology businesses.
- Prepare financial dashboards and management reports.
- Recommend data-driven improvements for business growth.
7. Investment Acquisition Support
- Identify potential investors aligned with our business.
- Research venture capital firms, angel investors, family offices, and strategic investors.
- Assist in preparing investor presentations and financial projections.
- Support founders during fundraising initiatives.
- Maintain investor communication trackers and funding pipelines.

Commission Structure
This is a commission-based internship. No salary or stipend will be provided during the internship.
Interns will be eligible to earn commissions based on measurable business outcomes, including but not limited to:
- Successful client acquisition.
- Investment or funding opportunities introduced and successfully closed.
- Revenue generated through consulting or product sales.
- Strategic partnerships established.
- Commercial opportunities successfully converted into business.
Commission structures will be communicated separately based on the nature of each assignment and business engagement.
