Role Overview:
The Senior Sales Manager (Steel) will spearhead our sales initiatives for steel products across the Coimbatore region and beyond. This role involves leading a high-performing sales team, cultivating strategic relationships with key clients and channel partners, and driving significant revenue growth. You will be responsible for developing and executing robust sales strategies, identifying new market opportunities, and ensuring Basebiz maintains its competitive edge and market leadership in the steel segment, directly impacting our business expansion and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute comprehensive sales and marketing strategies for steel products to achieve ambitious revenue targets and expand market share.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of sales professionals, fostering a high-performance culture and ensuring the achievement of individual and team objectives.
- Manage and expand the retail channel and dealer network, optimizing primary sales and distribution efficiency across the assigned territory.
- Identify and secure new business opportunities within the infrastructure, construction, cement, and paint industries, driving large-scale project sales.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key clients, distributors, and stakeholders, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and repeat business.
- Drive primary sales efforts, overseeing territory management, market penetration, and product placement strategies.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to inform sales strategies, product positioning, and pricing decisions.
- Ensure strict compliance with company policies, sales processes, and ethical business practices throughout all sales operations.
- Collaborate effectively with marketing, operations, and logistics teams to align sales efforts with overall business objectives and ensure seamless product delivery.
Required Skillset:
- Demonstrated expertise in B2B sales, specifically within the steel industry, with 8-10 years of progressive experience.
- Strong understanding of the construction, infrastructure, cement, and paint sectors, including their procurement cycles and key decision-makers.
- Exceptional leadership and team management capabilities, with a proven track record of motivating, coaching, and developing sales professionals.
- Proficient in retail channel sales, dealer management, and primary sales strategies, with a focus on driving volume and market reach.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills to build rapport, influence stakeholders, and close complex deals.
- Strategic thinking and analytical abilities to identify market opportunities, develop effective sales plans, and forecast sales accurately.
- Ability to manage territories effectively, optimize sales routes, and drive consistent market penetration.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Metallurgy, Civil, Mechanical) or Business Administration; an MBA is a distinct advantage.
- Based in Coimbatore, with a willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory to manage sales operations and client relationships.
Pay: Up to ₹2,500,000.00 per year
