Senior Network Engineer – Datacenter (Cisco ACI) Experience: 14–16 Years Role Level: Senior / Lead
Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer specializing in Datacenter technologies and Cisco ACI (Application Centric Infrastructure) to design, implement, and support enterprise-scale network environments. Key Responsibilities
Datacenter Network Design & Implementation · Design, deploy, and manage large-scale datacenter network infrastructure · Architect and implement Cisco ACI-based solutions · Develop network topology, segmentation, and multi-tenant designs · Ensure high availability, redundancy, and disaster recovery planning
Operations & Support · Provide L3 support for complex network issues and outages · Troubleshoot performance issues in ACI fabric, spine-leaf architecture · Manage firmware upgrades, patches, and lifecycle management · Maintain network documentation, diagrams, and SOPs
Network Security & Compliance · Implement security best practices within datacenter networks · Configure segmentation, micro-segmentation (ACI contracts) · Ensure compliance with security policies and standards · Work with security teams on firewall and access control integration
Integration & Automation · Integrate ACI with: o VMware (vCenter, NSX) o Cloud environments (Azure, AWS – hybrid scenarios) · Automate network deployments using: o Python o REST APIs o Ansible / Terraform (preferred) Monitoring & Optimization · Monitor network performance and capacity planning · Use tools like Cisco APIC, DNAC, SolarWinds, etc. · Optimize traffic flows, latency, and throughput Collaboration & Leadership · Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership · Collaborate with application, cloud, and infrastructure teams · Drive network modernization and transformation initiatives · Participate in architecture reviews and decision-making Required Skills Core Networking Skills · Strong expertise in: o Cisco ACI (Mandatory) o Nexus switches (9K, 7K) o Spine-leaf architecture · Deep understanding of: o TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VXLAN, EVPN o L2/L3 protocols and design Datacenter Technologies · Experience with: o Virtualization (VMware ESXi, NSX) o Load balancers (F5, Citrix, etc.) o Storage networking (SAN/NAS basics) Automation & Scripting · Hands-on with: o Python / Bash scripting o Cisco ACI APIs o Infrastructure as Code tools (Ansible, Terraform)
Security Knowledge · Network segmentation and micro-segmentation (ACI contracts) · Firewall integration (Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco ASA/FTD) · Understanding of Zero Trust principles (preferred)
Qualifications · Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / IT / Engineering · Relevant certifications (preferred): o CCNP / CCIE (Data Center preferred) o Cisco ACI Certification o VMware certifications (optional)
Pay: Up to ₹1,096,997.51 per year
