Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced AutoCAD Draftsman with expertise in Effluent Treatment Plants (ETP), Sewage Treatment Plants (STP), and Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) systems. The ideal candidate will have strong skills in 2D and 3D drafting, engineering design documentation, and coordination with project teams. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to wastewater treatment projects while supporting drafting operations and design excellence.
Key ResponsibilitiesDrafting & Design
- Develop detailed 2D and 3D engineering drawings for ETP, STP, and ZLD projects.
- Prepare P&ID (Process & Instrumentation Diagrams), General Arrangement (GA) Drawings, and Fabrication Drawings.
- Create equipment layouts, piping drawings, structural drawings, and isometric views.
- Ensure drawings are accurate, organized, and aligned with project requirements and applicable standards.
- Update and revise drawings based on project requirements and engineering inputs.
Project Coordination
- Collaborate with Project Engineers, Process Engineers, and Site Teams during project execution.
- Coordinate with procurement and fabrication teams to support design implementation.
- Maintain drawing records, revisions, and project documentation.
- Assist in improving drafting workflows and documentation practices.
Quality & Compliance
- Perform drawing reviews to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Follow applicable engineering and industry standards.
- Support continuous improvement in drafting quality and design processes.
- Stay updated on drafting tools, design technologies, and industry best practices.
Required QualificationsEducation
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
Experience
- 3–5 years of experience in drafting and design for ETP, STP, or ZLD projects.
Technical Skills
- AutoCAD (2D & 3D)
- Experience with P&ID, piping layouts, structural drawings, and equipment layouts
- Knowledge of GA Drawings and Isometric Drawings
- Familiarity with wastewater treatment plant design concepts
Preferred Skills
- Experience with SolidWorks, Revit, or similar 3D design software
- Knowledge of Navisworks is an added advantage
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
- Proficiency in MS Office applications
