Position: Estimation & Costing Engineer (Electrical / Mechanical)
Location- Jaipur (prahaladpura)
Role Summary:
Responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, BOQs, material take-offs, budgets, and tender submissions for electrical and mechanical projects. The role involves reviewing project documents, evaluating costs, coordinating with vendors, and supporting project execution through effective cost planning and control.
Key Responsibilities
- Review drawings, specifications, BOQs, and tender documents.
- Prepare quantity take-offs and material take-offs (MTO) for electrical and mechanical systems.
- Estimate material, labor, equipment, subcontractor, and overhead costs.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and bid proposals.
- Obtain, evaluate, and compare supplier and subcontractor quotations.
- Prepare technical and commercial tender submissions.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and project teams for cost planning.
- Monitor project costs against budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Maintain cost databases, estimation records, and project documentation.
- Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and client clarifications.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, standards, and contractual requirements.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- Experience in estimation, costing, tendering, and quantity surveying.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Strong knowledge of BOQ preparation, MTO, and cost analysis.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and estimation/project management software.
- Good analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
