Job Title: Head of Social Media – Kumbh Mela Project (Nashik)

Context: The 2027 Kumbh Mela in Nashik is a mega-event involving massive infrastructure, crowd management, and international digital reach. The role focuses on real-time information, spiritual content, and safety communication.
Job Summary
The Head of Social Media will lead the end-to-end digital strategy for the Kumbh Mela Project, managing a team of content creators, designers, and community managers. The objective is to amplify the event's cultural significance, provide real-time updates for crowd management and safety, and enhance the digital experience for millions of devotees globally.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Planning & Execution: Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy focusing on awareness, real-time updates, and engagement across Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, X (Twitter), and WhatsApp.
- Real-Time Crisis & Safety Communication: Collaborate with the Kumbh Mela Authority to disseminate live updates on crowd density, traffic, safety protocols, and emergency information.
- Content Leadership: Oversee the production of high-impact content, including 24/7 live streams, reels, vlogs, and storytelling that blend spiritual tradition with modern technology.
- Campaign Management: Lead multi-channel campaigns to promote the event, including influencer collaborations, virtual tours, and interactive, user-generated content initiatives.
- Team Leadership: Lead and train a team of digital marketers, content creators, and community managers.
- Analytics & Reporting: Monitor and analyze performance metrics (reach, sentiment, engagement) using tools like Google Analytics and Meta Business Suite to provide daily/weekly reports to stakeholders.
- Cultural Competence: Ensure all content respects the sanctity of the ritual while making it accessible to a global audience.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: 7+ years of experience in social media management, preferably leading large-scale projects, government initiatives, or major public events.
- Language Skills: Proficiency in Marathi, Hindi, and English is essential.
- Technical Skills: Deep understanding of social media algorithms, SEO, and paid media (Meta Ads, Google Ads).
- Leadership: Proven ability to manage a team under pressure, particularly in a high-speed, 24/7 environment.
- Flexibility: Must be able to work on-site in Nashik and available for extended hours during peak Kumbh dates.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in managing social media for tourism, religious, or large-scale public infrastructure projects.
- Background in digital storytelling and documentary-style video production.

Budget: 15LPA – 25 LPA
Job Location: Nasik Maharashtra. (Visit to HO i.e. Ahmedabad will be there as per required)

Pay: ₹150,000.00 - ₹200,000.00 per month
