The R&D Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, testing, and improving LED lighting products to meet performance, quality, cost, and regulatory requirements. The role involves product innovation, prototype development, component evaluation, and collaboration with production, quality, and procurement teams to ensure successful product development and manufacturing.
- Design and develop new LED lighting products and improve existing products.
- Select and evaluate LEDs, drivers, optics, heat sinks, and other electronic components.
- Develop prototypes, conduct testing, and validate product performance.
- Perform thermal, electrical, optical, and reliability analysis.
- Ensure products comply with BIS, IEC, CE, RoHS, and other applicable standards.
- Prepare BOMs, technical drawings, specifications, and product documentation.
- Coordinate with production teams for pilot runs and product commercialization.
- Troubleshoot product issues and implement design improvements.
- Support cost optimization and value engineering initiatives.
- Stay updated on emerging LED technologies and industry trends.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Electronics & Communication, or a related engineering field.
- 3–8+ years of experience in LED lighting product design and development.
Required Skills:
- Strong knowledge of LED drivers, SMPS, PCB design, thermal management, optics, and lighting systems.
- Experience with product testing and validation.
- Familiarity with CAD tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Altium, or similar) is preferred.
- Knowledge of BIS, LM-79, LM-80, IEC, CE, and RoHS standards.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Good communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
