Job Description – Account Manager (Railway OHE & General Electrical Projects)

About the Project
The project involves the execution of Design, Supply, Erection, Testing, and Commissioning of OHE works at Nagercoil Station Yard stabling lines 1 to 9, left-over OHE works in the main station yard, and General Electrical Works under Southern Railway.
Key ResponsibilitiesAccounts & Finance
- Manage project accounts and maintain accurate financial records.
- Prepare and process RA Bills, Final Bills, and Variation Claims.
- Track receivables, client payments, and vendor payments.
- Maintain project-wise expenditure records and budget monitoring.
- Process invoices and ensure timely payments to vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Support cash flow planning and project cost control.
Payroll & Attendance Management
- Maintain daily attendance records of engineers, supervisors, operators, staff, and contract labour deployed at site.
- Monitor manpower deployment, leave records, overtime, and absenteeism.
- Verify attendance data and coordinate with HR for payroll processing.
- Prepare monthly manpower and attendance reports.
- Ensure compliance with labour laws and client requirements regarding manpower records.
Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, PF, ESI, Labour Laws, and other statutory requirements.
- Maintain all project-related financial and contractual documentation.
- Coordinate with auditors and support internal and external audits.
- Maintain records of labour licenses, insurance, statutory returns, and compliance documents.
Coordination & Reporting
- Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Engineers, HR, Procurement, and Management teams.
- Prepare monthly MIS reports, financial statements, and project performance reports.
- Support management with financial analysis and decision-making.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, and railway authorities regarding billing and payment matters.
Qualification
- B.Com / M.Com / MBA (Finance) / Equivalent Qualification.
Experience
- 3 to 7 years of experience in Project Accounting, EPC, Infrastructure, Railway, Electrical, or Construction Projects.
- Experience in handling site accounts and manpower records is preferred.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Tally, ERP Systems, MS Excel, and MS Office.
- Knowledge of GST, TDS, PF, ESI, Payroll Processing, and Labour Compliance.
- Experience in billing, vendor management, and project accounting.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work independently at project sites.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in Railway, RVNL, OHE, Electrical, or Infrastructure Projects.
- Familiarity with project billing procedures and contract administration.
