Job Description – Veterinary Assistant
Department: Clinical Support
Employment Type: Contractual (Temporary Hiring – 1 Year)
Reporting To: Veterinary Technician / Medical Director / Nominated Veterinary Surgeon
About the Role
The Eye Vet Clinic is looking for a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Assistant to support veterinary doctors in providing high-quality animal care. The ideal candidate should have clinical experience in assisting surgeries, handling operation theatre procedures, and supporting patient care.
Key Responsibilities
Assist veterinarians during consultations, treatments, and surgeries.
Prepare the operation theatre before surgical procedures.
Handle pre-operative and post-operative patient care.
Maintain and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment.
Administer medicines and assist in treatment as directed by veterinarians.
Monitor animal health and maintain patient records.
Ensure cleanliness and hygiene of the clinic and operation theatre.
Coordinate with the veterinary team to ensure smooth clinical operations.
Qualifications
Minimum 12th Pass (HSC) or equivalent.
1–2 years of clinical experience in a veterinary clinic or hospital.
Required Skills
Experience in handling the operation theatre.
Knowledge of surgical preparation and sterilization procedures.
Basic understanding of veterinary medicines and patient care.
Good communication skills.
Fluency in Hindi and Marathi.
Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Salary & Benefits
Salary: ₹20,000 – ₹30,000 per month (CTC)
Employment Type: Contractual (1 Year)
Working Hours
Timing: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Night Shift: Required if and when necessary.
Working Days: Monday to Saturday
